You’ll find live music, trivia nights, Dinner Club, jobs, markets, theatre, and more below — all the things that make this place feel alive. You’ll read about an Italian seaplane that once touched down in Long Point Bay, and simple ways to reorganize your kitchen for a healthier life.
But at the heart of this edition is something deeper.
The Insider exists because Norfolk shows up — for events, for local businesses, for stories… and for each other.
Today, we have the opportunity to do exactly that.

A Norfolk Family That Needs Us
The Insider has always been about one thing: community.
Right now, someone very close to me — and very much a part of our Norfolk community — needs ours.
Ashley is a devoted mom of two beautiful kids and a friend to many. She is walking through an incredibly difficult season with Stage 4 breast cancer, and the weight of treatment, uncertainty, and financial strain is heavy.
When one of our own is carrying something this big, we don’t look away. We lean in.
If you’re in a position to help, a GoFundMe has been created to support Ashley and her family during this time. Every contribution — large or small — is a tangible way to wrap this family in care.

A while ago you made a post about the ministry Power At Work.
Today I had the privilege of working in the shop with some of our youth, Alejandro and Wilson both are 12. The boys have been busy sanding puzzles so teams coming in February and March can bring them back to our home in VillaNova (The sign in the back of the shop is what prompted this message).
Power At Work has the privilege of setting up a table at the Farmers Market in Simcoe on 2 separate Thursdays in March, March 5 & 12.

DINNER CLUB
Last time we ran Dinner Club, something special happened.
21 strangers sat down at three tables… and by the end of the night, they weren’t strangers anymore. The conversation flowed. Laughter filled the room. Phones stayed in pockets. It felt old-school in the best way — simple, human, real.
That’s why we’re doing it again.
Dinner Club is back for three new evenings — a chance to slow down, meet good people, and remember that community isn’t built online… it’s built face-to-face.
We’re genuinely excited to set these next tables.
